The ANNKE I91DS is an 8MP PoE turret camera for driveways, entrances, shops, offices and other locations where identification detail matters. It records at a native maximum resolution of 3840 × 2160, distinguishes people and vehicles, and can respond to a relevant event with white-light flashing and an audible warning. A built-in microphone and speaker also support two-way audio through a compatible system.

Tested with the ANNKE N98PBK PoE NVR
Hawk Vision Pro has tested the I91DS directly with the ANNKE N98PBK 8-Channel 12MP PoE NVR and found the pairing to provide excellent practical compatibility. This makes the combination a strong choice for an eight-camera system that needs native 4K recording, PoE installation and intelligent event handling.
For best results, keep the camera and recorder firmware current and configure resolution, bitrate, AI events, two-way audio and active deterrence for the installation. Available controls can vary with firmware and channel settings.

Is the I91DS genuinely 4K?
Yes. The camera's native maximum image resolution is 3840 × 2160 pixels, which is 8 megapixels and meets the common UHD 4K video format. For the full recorded resolution, the NVR, network bandwidth, display and recording settings must also support the selected 8MP stream. 4K resolution improves available detail, but identification still depends on distance, lens angle, lighting, positioning and movement.
AI detection and active alarm
Motion Detection 2.0 can classify human and vehicle targets so alerts are more useful than basic pixel-motion notifications. The I91DS can also use its white light and built-in speaker as an active warning. Alarm actions, schedules and sensitivity should be configured for the site to avoid unnecessary disturbance.
When connecting the camera to a third-party NVR, confirm support for human and vehicle events, two-way audio and active-deterrence controls. Basic ONVIF video compatibility does not guarantee that every advanced feature will be available through every recorder.
Smart Dual Light night monitoring
The camera combines infrared and white illumination with a stated range of up to 30 metres. Infrared supports discreet monochrome monitoring; white light can provide colour-assisted detail and a visible deterrent. Actual night performance depends on scene lighting, reflective surfaces, weather, mounting height and subject distance.
Where does the 4 mm lens work best?
The fixed 4 mm lens provides an approximately 78° horizontal field of view. It is a practical choice for driveways, gates, entrances, corridors, shop aisles and other defined areas where a more focused view is preferred to an ultra-wide overview.

Can the I91DS detect fire or measure temperature?
No. The I91DS provides native 4K video, human and vehicle classification, active strobe lighting and an audible warning, but it is not a thermal or dedicated fire-detection camera. Fire, smoke, flame and temperature alarms require a specialist camera designed with those sensing and analytics functions.
For sites that need both detailed 4K security coverage and early hazard monitoring, the I91DS can cover entrances, driveways and identification zones while a separate specialist device—such as ANNKE’s I81HT fire and temperature detection camera—covers the risk area. Recorder compatibility, event transmission and alarm actions must be checked for the exact camera, NVR and firmware before purchase.
