The ANNKE NR3212 / N931BB is a professional 32 channel PoE NVR for larger IP CCTV installations that need high resolution recording, reliable wired connectivity, remote access and room for future expansion.
It supports up to 32 IP camera channels and includes 16 built in PoE ports. Up to 16 compatible PoE cameras can therefore connect directly to the recorder using a single Ethernet cable for power and data. Cameras beyond those 16 direct PoE ports can be added through a suitable external PoE switch and network configuration.

32 Channels vs 16 Built In PoE Ports
This distinction is important. 32 channels is the maximum number of IP cameras the recorder can support, while 16 built in PoE ports is the number of compatible PoE cameras that can connect directly to the NVR.
For cameras 17, 32, a separate PoE network switch may be required. The external PoE switch is not included unless it is explicitly stated as part of a package or bundle.
High Resolution CCTV Recording

Which cable gives the most reliable PoE connection?
Use genuine solid-copper Cat6 cable, correctly terminated and tested. Avoid CCA cable. A standard Ethernet channel is normally limited to 100 metres end to end; for outdoor routes use a suitable outdoor-rated cable and weatherproof the RJ45 connection.
