SKU: AU-N931BB000-V1
The NR3212 / N931BB is a professional 32-channel PoE NVR recorder designed for larger CCTV installations where high-resolution recording, reliable wired connectivity, remote access, and future expansion are important.
This recorder supports up to 32 IP camera inputs and includes 16 built-in PoE ports. This means up to 16 compatible PoE IP cameras can be connected directly to the NVR using a single network cable for both power and video data. If the customer wants to use more than 16 PoE cameras, additional cameras may require a separate PoE switch or suitable network setup.

The recorder supports video formats including H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264. H.265+ helps reduce storage usage while keeping good video quality, which can allow longer recording time compared with older compression formats.

It supports up to 12MP recording and playback resolution, depending on the connected IP cameras. This makes it suitable for customers who need detailed footage for entrances, driveways, warehouses, stock rooms, car parks, gates, offices, shops, or commercial premises.

The NVR includes 4 SATA hard drive bays, with support for up to 10TB per hard drive, giving a maximum storage capacity of up to 40TB. This is useful for larger systems with multiple cameras, high-resolution recording, or longer footage retention. Hard drives should be confirmed separately depending on the package being purchased.
The system supports HDMI and VGA video output, including 4K HDMI video output, allowing the user to connect the recorder to a monitor or display. It also supports remote connection, meaning customers can view and manage their CCTV system remotely when correctly configured and connected to the internet.
For smart security features, the recorder supports Motion Detection 2.0 across all channels. It also supports facial recognition functions, including face picture comparison, human face capture and face picture search. Smart event support includes facial recognition, perimeter protection, throwing object detection, motion detection 2.0, ANPR, and VCA, depending on camera compatibility and correct configuration.

PoE means Power over Ethernet. In simple terms, one network cable can carry both power and video data to a compatible camera. This makes the installation cleaner, reduces the need for separate power adapters near each camera, and is usually more reliable than Wi-Fi for professional CCTV systems.
This NVR is suitable for customers who need a larger and more professional CCTV setup, such as shops, offices, warehouses, commercial units, farms, larger homes, car parks, and multi-camera security installations.
Things to consider:
- This is an NVR for IP cameras.
- It supports 32 channels but has 16 built-in PoE ports.
- Additional PoE cameras beyond the built-in ports may require a PoE switch.
- Smart detection features depend on compatible cameras and correct setup.
- Hard drives may not be included unless clearly stated in the product package.
- For best performance, professional wired installation is recommended.

Important PoE Port Note:
This NVR supports up to 32 IP cameras, but it has 16 built-in PoE ports. This means you can connect up to 16 compatible PoE cameras directly to the NVR using network cables.
If you want to connect more than 16 PoE cameras, you will need an additional PoE network switch, such as a 16-port PoE switch, to connect the remaining cameras through the network.

Important Information About PoE Ports and 32-Channel Expansion
At Hawk Vision Pro, we believe customers should understand exactly what they are buying before placing an order.
This NVR supports up to 32 IP cameras in total, which means it can be used as the foundation for a larger CCTV system. However, it is important to understand that the recorder itself includes 16 built-in PoE ports.
This means you can connect up to 16 compatible PoE cameras directly to the NVR using network cables. These direct connections allow the NVR to provide both power and video/data connection to the cameras through a single Ethernet cable.
If you want to use more than 16 PoE cameras, you will need an additional PoE switch to connect the remaining cameras. For example, if you want to expand the system towards 32 cameras, a suitable 16-port PoE switch may be required for cameras 17 to 32, depending on your final CCTV setup.
In simple terms:
This is a 32-channel NVR, meaning it can support up to 32 IP cameras.
It has 16 built-in PoE ports, meaning up to 16 PoE cameras can be connected directly to the recorder.
To connect more than 16 PoE cameras, an additional PoE switch is required.
Please note: the PoE switch is not included unless it is clearly stated in the product package or bundle.
We explain this clearly because some customers may assume that a 32-channel PoE NVR has 32 physical PoE ports built in. That is not the case with this model. The 32-channel capacity refers to the maximum number of IP cameras the recorder can support, while the built-in PoE ports refer to the number of cameras that can be connected directly to the NVR without using an additional PoE switch.
If you are unsure how many cameras you need, or whether you require an additional PoE switch, please contact Hawk Vision Pro before purchasing. We will be happy to help you choose the correct setup for your home, shop, office, warehouse, farm, or commercial CCTV installation.
Our aim is not just to sell products. Our aim is to help you make an informed, professional, and confident security decision.
