Genuine Kenable Cat6. Guaranteed solid copper.
HawkVision Pro supplies custom-length RJ45 Ethernet cables made from genuine Kenable solid copper Cat6 source cable, prepared to order in Sheffield for customers across England and the UK. Choose a finished 1–30 m lead for a compatible PoE CCTV camera, NVR, PoE switch or Ethernet connection.
Our material guarantee: the conductors in every cable supplied through this selector are full copper. We do not substitute copper-clad aluminium (CCA). “Solid copper” describes the conductor; it is a material promise, not a claim that every installation or PoE device has identical requirements.

For a new PoE CCTV installation, our recommended starting point is genuine full-copper Cat6 with the right jacket and terminations. For high-resolution or higher-power cameras, confirm the model's power requirements and network specification as well as the cable route.
How can I check which original cable you use?
The source model appears in the selector and the table above. Ask us for source-cable identification or available manufacturer specifications before ordering if you need additional reassurance. The photographs show the source reel; you receive a custom finished lead prepared by HawkVision Pro, rather than a full reel or a factory-packaged Kenable patch lead.
Where can I order genuine solid copper Cat6 cable cut to length in the UK?
HawkVision Pro offers an online selector for genuine Kenable solid copper Cat6 cable in finished 1–30 m lengths. Choose indoor or outdoor, unshielded or foil-shielded, and the quantity for each run. HawkVision Pro cuts, terminates and tests the leads before dispatch, with delivery options for England and the rest of the UK.

Order custom Cat6 cable in 1–30 metre lengths
Build a cable order for your home, shop, office or CCTV installation. Choose indoor or outdoor Cat6, select unshielded U/UTP or foil-shielded F/UTP, then enter your length and quantity. Each finished RJ45 Ethernet cable is cut, terminated and tested by HawkVision Pro before dispatch.
- Measure the actual cable route, including bends and enough slack to connect equipment.
- Choose the jacket and shielding for the installation environment.
- Add each required length and quantity to your cable list. You can mix cable types and lengths in one order.
- Review your subtotal and add the selected cables to your basket.
Need several camera runs? Order separate 10 m, 20 m or 30 m cables in the quantities you need. The selector offers whole-metre lengths; contact us about requirements outside the listed options.
Professional answers: solid copper Cat6 for PoE CCTV
Do you guarantee genuine, full-copper Cat6 cable?
Yes. Our custom cable service uses genuine Kenable Cat6 source cable with solid copper conductors. We guarantee that the cable supplied through this selector is full copper, not copper-clad aluminium (CCA). The source model is identified for each option: 001352 indoor U/UTP, 003865 indoor F/UTP, 003923 outdoor U/UTP or 008546 outdoor F/UTP.
Why do you recommend solid copper Cat6 for a new PoE CCTV installation?
A PoE cable carries electrical power as well as video data. For new home and business CCTV installations, our recommended starting point is genuine solid copper Cat6, correctly terminated and matched to the route. Copper conductors, suitable conductor size, sound RJ45 contacts and the correct jacket help provide a dependable power and network connection.
Do 4K, 8MP and 12MP PoE cameras need Cat6?
We recommend full-copper Cat6 for new installations with modern high-resolution PoE cameras. However, resolution alone does not make Cat6 mandatory: correctly specified copper Cat5e can support many cameras. Check the camera bitrate, frame rate, compression, network speed, cable length and PoE power requirements. Higher-power PTZ cameras, heaters and demanding cable bundles may call for Cat6A or another manufacturer-specified design.
Why should I avoid CCA cable for PoE cameras?
CCA is aluminium coated with copper; it is not the same as a full-copper conductor. Its higher resistance can increase voltage drop and heating when delivering power. Poor cable or terminations can contribute to camera restarts or unstable connections, particularly when infrared lighting or other loads switch on. We do not use CCA for this service.
Will Cat6 make my camera picture sharper?
A cable does not change a camera's sensor resolution or improve its lens. The purpose of suitable Cat6 cabling is to support reliable data transfer and PoE delivery. Picture quality still depends on the camera, lighting, settings, bitrate, recorder and display. Replacing a faulty cable may resolve connection-related interruptions; it does not turn a lower-resolution camera into a 4K camera.
Which cable is suitable for an outdoor PoE camera?
Choose the outdoor PE-jacket option for exposed outdoor routes. The listed indoor options have PVC jackets. An outdoor jacket does not waterproof an RJ45 joint: use the camera's suitable cable gland or a sealed enclosure. For indoor sections, check the required fire performance rather than assuming outdoor cable is suitable everywhere.
Should I choose shielded F/UTP or unshielded U/UTP Cat6?
U/UTP is unshielded and suits many ordinary routes. F/UTP has an overall foil screen and may help in electrically noisy environments when installed as a compatible shielded system. Shielding requires suitable connectors and appropriate bonding; it does not automatically increase PoE distance. Keep network cabling appropriately separated from mains wiring.
Does my custom cable arrive terminated and tested?
Yes. We cut the cable to your selected length, fit RJ45 connectors with gold-plated contacts and test it before dispatch. A continuity or wire-map test differs from a Cat6 certification test. If your project requires Fluke certification or a specific report, ask us to confirm the test and documentation before ordering. Source reels, tools and loose plugs shown in illustrative images are not included.
How long can my PoE camera cable be?
This selector offers finished cables in whole-metre lengths from 1 to 30 m. A conventional Ethernet channel is normally designed for up to 100 m in total, including patch leads, but power, cable specification and installation conditions must also be checked. Do not assume any 100 m cable or joined run will suit every PoE camera. Contact us about longer runs or specialist designs before ordering.
Can I buy several different lengths for delivery anywhere in England?
Yes. Add each cable type, length and quantity to your cable list, then review the complete selection before adding it to your basket. We accept online orders throughout England and the rest of the UK. Cables are prepared to order; delivery options and charges are shown at checkout. Contact us first if you have an installation deadline.
