Choose the N96PBH configuration for a thirteen-camera installation. Thirteen I91DS cameras are supplied, leaving three channels for additional compatible cameras. Confirm combined stream bitrate, PoE power consumption and storage needs for all thirteen cameras before installation.
Both configurations record to local surveillance storage. A suitable network connection enables remote access; internet access is not required solely to write video to the local HDD.
4K detail, camera alerts and practical deterrence
The supplied I91DS cameras capture up to 3840 × 2160 pixels. Their features include human and vehicle detection, Smart Dual-Light, a built-in microphone and speaker, siren and strobe functions, and IP67 outdoor protection. Supported frame rates, audio, alerts and alarm controls depend on camera firmware and the recorder or app configuration. Do not assume every camera-side function is controlled from the NVR.
For full-resolution local viewing, use a compatible 4K display and supported recorder output settings. A lower-resolution monitor can still show video, but cannot display every pixel of the recorded 4K image.
PoE installation and genuine copper cable
A correctly specified Ethernet cable carries power and data between each compatible PoE camera and the recorder. Choose genuine solid-copper Cat6 for a dependable new installation, with an outdoor-rated jacket where the cable is exposed. Avoid copper-clad aluminium (CCA), and plan cable length, weatherproof connections and routing before fitting.

Add ready-to-connect, genuine solid-copper Cat6 cable
Already know your cable lengths? Choose the cable model, length and quantity for each camera run in our custom Cat6 cable selector. You can combine different lengths in the same order. The current selector offers whole-metre lengths from 1 to 30 metres; contact us before ordering if you need a longer run.
HawkVision Pro cuts your selected genuine Kenable solid-copper Cat6 cable to length, fits compatible RJ45 connectors and tests the finished lead before dispatch. You receive prepared camera leads, ready to connect. We guarantee solid-copper conductors: never copper-clad aluminium (CCA). Select indoor or outdoor cable for the actual route, and U/UTP or F/UTP as appropriate.
Order your chosen leads alongside the bundle and we can send them with your equipment, subject to preparation and dispatch arrangements. Cables are charged separately. Allow for the real routed distance, bends and a practical service loop at each end. Outdoor cable jackets do not make exposed RJ45 connections waterproof; protect the camera connection with suitable weatherproof fittings.
How long can a 6TB drive record?
Retention depends on total video bitrate, audio, recording schedule and usable formatted capacity. As a planning example, thirteen cameras at 4 Mbps each produce about 561.6 GB per day: a nominal 6TB gives about 10.7 days before allowing for formatting, overhead and reserved capacity. At 8 Mbps per camera, the nominal estimate is about 5.3 days. These are examples, not guaranteed recording periods.
Adding more cameras shortens retention at the same drive capacity. The recorder has two HDD bays; this bundle supplies one 6TB drive. A surveillance HDD is intended for sustained video workloads. See our SkyHawk storage guide.

Is the 6TB hard drive included?

Are the cameras wireless?
No. These are wired PoE cameras. Plan a suitable Ethernet run to each camera.
Can I view the system on my phone?

How do I work out the total installation budget?

Can I order different cable lengths for each camera?

Do the custom cables arrive with RJ45 plugs fitted?

Are your Cat6 camera cables genuinely all copper?
Yes. Our custom Kenable Cat6 leads use genuine solid-copper conductors, not CCA. Choose the correct indoor or outdoor jacket and screening for your route. Solid-copper Cat6 is our recommended choice for a dependable new PoE CCTV installation.
Do I need internet or a monthly subscription to record locally?
The NVR records to the included local surveillance HDD without an internet connection. Internet is needed for remote viewing through the app. Local HDD recording does not require a cloud recording subscription; optional services and features have their own terms.
Will 4K cameras guarantee a readable face or number plate?
No camera resolution alone guarantees identification. Distance, lighting, lens angle, mounting height, movement and recording settings all affect the result. Tell us what you need to recognise so we can advise on camera placement and whether a different camera is more suitable.
