CCTV Penistone | PoE Cameras, NVRs & Network Equipment | HawkVision Pro

Planning CCTV for a Penistone home, farm, workshop or small business? HawkVision Pro supplies PoE cameras, NVRs, DVRs, surveillance storage and installation accessories from Sheffield.

Longer outdoor routes and outbuildings

Where a camera is located on an outbuilding or across a larger property, design the network before installing cable. A local PoE switch or fibre link may be more reliable than extending copper beyond its practical range.

For longer-distance network design, read our guide to fibre in IP CCTV systems.

Camera and recorder options

The I91DS 4K 8MP PoE camera suits key access points; the FCD800 180° camera provides wide overview coverage. For recording, choose between the N98PBK 8-channel and N96PBH 16-channel NVRs based on the final camera count.

Penistone network planning checklist

For cameras on barns, garages or detached buildings, note the distance between buildings, whether power is available at the remote location and whether a network switch can be housed safely. This determines whether a normal Ethernet run, local PoE switch or fibre link is the better design. Planning this before installation reduces unreliable extensions and unnecessary cable replacement.

Can one NVR record cameras connected through a remote switch?

Often yes, provided the cameras are reachable on the network and the recorder has enough channels and incoming bandwidth.
