The ANNKE SLPR400 is a specialist 4MP ANPR network camera for vehicle access, gates, parking areas and road facing surveillance. It combines embedded license plate recognition with a motorised 2.7 to 13.5 mm varifocal lens, 5× optical zoom and long range infrared illumination.

What is the main advantage of this camera?

Embedded ANPR processing can recognise number plates and support allow list and block list workflows. This makes it suitable for gates, parking areas, entrances and controlled vehicle lanes.

Why is the motorised lens important?

The 2.7 to 13.5 mm lens lets the installer frame the vehicle lane correctly and adjust the view without replacing the lens. Autofocus and 5× optical zoom help achieve the plate size needed for more reliable recognition.

Why does it cost more than a standard 4MP camera?

The additional cost comes from specialist ANPR processing, motorised varifocal optics, stronger control of headlight glare, long range infrared lighting and a vandal resistant IK10 housing. A normal 4MP camera may show a vehicle but is not designed to manage plate recognition in the same way.

Who should buy this model?

Choose it when plate recognition is an actual requirement. If you only need a general driveway view, a standard AI PoE camera will normally provide better value.

ANPR for Vehicle Access and Monitoring

Embedded deep learning algorithms allow the SLPR400 to recognise license plates without an additional analytics server. Block list and allow list logic can be used to support access control and vehicle monitoring workflows.

5× Optical Zoom and Motorised Varifocal Lens

The 2.7 to 13.5 mm motorised lens lets installers frame a wider scene or tighten the view for plate capture. Autofocus and 5× optical zoom make the camera better suited to controlled vehicle lanes than a fixed lens CCTV camera.

Long Range IR and Image Enhancement

Smart IR reaches up to 60 metres, while 120 dB WDR, HLC, BLC, defog and 3D DNR help preserve useful detail in headlights, glare, mist and uneven lighting.
