Quick Connection Guide: ANNKE AC500 to NVR
1. Physical Connection (Plug-and-Play)
Step 1: Connect one end of your Ethernet cable (Cat5e or Cat6) to the port on the back of the AC500 Camera.
Step 2: Connect the other end directly into one of the available PoE ports on the back of your ANNKE NVR.
Step 3: The NVR will automatically provide power and data to the camera. Within 1-2 minutes, you should see the video feed appear on your monitor automatically.
2. Configuring "Smart Dual-Light" & Deterrence The AC500 has distinct "Smart" behaviors (like flashing lights or sirens) that you can customize directly from the NVR menu. By default, it is usually set to "Smart Mode" (IR normally, White Light upon human detection).
To Enable/Disable the Flashing Alarm (Strobe):
Go to Menu > Event > Smart Event (or Normal Event > Motion Detection on some firmware versions).
Select the camera channel (e.g., D1).
Enable "Human Detection" or "Vehicle Detection" to reduce false alarms from rain/leaves.
Click "Linkage Action" (or Linkage Method).
Check (or uncheck) "Flashing Alarm" (or White Light) to turn the strobe light behavior on or off.
Check (or uncheck) "Audio Alarm" (or Audible Warning) if you want the camera to play a siren sound upon detection.
To Change Night Vision Mode (IR vs. Color):
If you want the camera to stay in Color Mode all night (or strictly IR black & white), you can adjust this in the camera settings via the NVR:
Go to Menu > Camera > Display > Day/Night Switch.
Change the mode from "Smart" to "Color" (Always White Light) or "Black & White" (Always IR).
